Two Teachers

Expected release: 2022

From Jeff Bond, author of The Pinebox Vendetta and the Third Chance Enterprises action-adventure series, comes Two Teachers: the story of kindergarten and fourth-grade teachers who begin their careers on the same day and build a lasting friendship, in spite of opposite personalities.

Marie Knox and Ben Gillespie both have trying first years at Roosevelt Elementary. Her long-distance romance is fading. His goofy improvisational style makes him a kid favorite but gets him into trouble when a social media post inadvertently violates school policy. Marie guides him through the crisis, and they become “teacher friends,” taking their classes out for recess at the same time each afternoon.

Others whispers about this coincidence of timing, but the whispers stop when Ben marries a patent attorney.

The teachers’ bond deepens over the years, pushed and pulled by circumstance. A kiss, a rash move overseas, divorce and depression, the impossible Calvert family—together they survive it all en route to becoming two of Roosevelt’s most decorated and beloved educators.

As the decades stretch on, though, the question lingers: should it, this thing between Mr. Gillsespie and Ms. Knox, have been more?

And when another crisis forces one to remake their life, could it still be?
